Office; Professional experience as Patent Office examiner, and as partner in the law firm of Weiner,
Carrier, Burt & Esser, P.C.; He also makes frequent trips to Japan.
William D. Blackman
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, including Honors Chemistry Program, Eastern Michigan University
(Ypsilanti, Michigan); Juris Doctoris degree, Wayne State University Law School (Detroit, Michigan);
Licensed to practice law in Michigan; Registered since 1986 to practice before the United States Patent
And Trademark Office; Professional experience in automotive engineering research and development,
including employment with Ford Motor Company and General Motors.
Fulchand P. Shende, PH.D.
Doctoral degree in Engineering, Queen's University (Kingston, Canada); Registered professional engineer; Passed the Patent Bar Examination administered by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), and granted limited recognition to practice patent cases before the USPTO, Professional experience in multi-disciplinary engineering projects, including industrial ventures, research and development, and academics; Currently attending the Wayne State University Law School as a candidate for a Juris Doctorate degree.
Anne M. Carrier

Michigan); Juris Doctoris degree, Wayne State University Law School (Detroit, Michigan); Licensed
to practice law in Michigan; Professional experience in computer and controls engineering with
Visteon Corporation and Veridian Engineering.
Erica Briggs
Bachelor’s degree in Geophysics, Michigan State University (East Lansing, Michigan);
Attended graduate school of University of Southern California (Los Angeles); Professional experience
in teaching science at elementary through college level, and in intellectual property law since 1993.
Jeffrey T. Gedeon
